Subaru WRX and STI 2014 US specs at a price

With the all-new Subaru WRX set to make its debut next year the Subaru STI and WRX in its current form will soon be released and so now has its pricing. What we have noticed is there is a slight increase, but did we expect any different?

This is the third generation of these Subaru’s and not much has changed from last year’s models, and so some of you will wonder why the cost has increased? From what we can see the Subaru STI and WRX 2014 US specs are pretty much the same as before, but the price increase is $200.

The 2014 Subaru WRX price will start at $25,995 and the more powerful 2014 Subaru WRX STI price will start at $34,495, although you will need to add the destination charges on to these prices, which are $770 to $795 respectively.

We have to wonder why anyone would still wish to purchase the third generation model when we know the 2015 WRX and WRX STI release is looming? Okay, production will not start for several more months, and we don’t expect a release until sometime in the New Year.

Is there still a huge market for such cars? We have to admit the design of the Subaru WRX and the WRX STI is looking rather stale, and we cannot see the 2015 looking any better. Cars do not need to look like a child has designed them anymore in order to make them go fast, and there are some family saloons that look pretty normal, like the M5, but will give the Subaru a hard time.
