Although traditional online dating websites can be a good way of meeting that special someone, not everyone likes going through the lengthy joining process. That is where the recently updated StreetSpark app for iOS devices could come in really handy.
According to a recent article by Ben Crompton over at pocket-lint.com, StreetSpark is a new social matching app for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, which uses your existing social networking information to match you up with people that share the same interests.
For example, the app could match you up with someone that likes the same band, music or artist as you on Facebook, or even suggest people that check into the same places as you on Foursquare. All you have to do to get started is download the app.
Any matches made on the StreetSpark app — which according to the itunes.apple.com website requires Apple iOS 3.1.2 or later — are called “Sparks,” which are then displayed in the users SparkBox. It is then up to the user whether or not they contact the Sparks.”
