Street Fighter X Tekken: List of New Characters and Gameplay Videos

Following on from our earlier video which showed you a brand new cinematic trailer for Street Fighter X Tekken, we now move on with the most exciting aspect of Capcom’s recent reveal of the game at Captivate 2011.

The company has just unveiled a further six new fighters to the Street Fighter and Tekken crossover game, while if that wasn’t enough for you, we also have two brand new gameplay videos for you to check out, giving you an actual glimpse at how things are progressing at the moment – which is a lot actually, since that last Ryu and Kazuya battle just to let you know.

The six new characters that have been confirmed and will join Ryu, Kazuya, Nina and Chun Li that we already knew about are: Ken, Abel and Guile from Street Fighter, and then King, Marduk and Bob from Tekken. This photo taken from Capcom HQ also seemingly confirms that Blanka and Kuma will join the mix too – Capcom are announcing fighters in tag teams if you haven’t noticed.

The two gameplay videos show off some excellent new footage, not to mention giving us a detailed insight into how tag team moves will become a main part of gameplay. For example, one of the videos shows King and Marduk teaming up on a defenceless Guile in the corner, with King jumping into the action mid combo to perform one of his trademark mid-air powerbombs – it looks awesome.

Check out the videos below for yourself and let us know your thoughts on them. Do you like this style of gameplay with the included Tekken characters, or do you feel that both franchises should be left alone?
