More of us are turning to apps to watch TV shows that are streamed to us from official sources, and now a new one is about to enter the fold. Stream from XFINITY will only be available to Comcast’s Xfinity Internet subscriber and its rollout will be a slow one to begin with.
The good news is, once this new app goes live you will be able to watch much-anticipated shows like Game of Thrones season 6, which will be released next spring. We hope in that time this new app will be available on most cities.
Supported cities on release — will consist of Boston, Chicago and Seattle from the end of the summer, which are no doubt being used as a test to see how well received the app will be.
You can sign-up here to see when Stream will become available in your area. All you need to leave is your name, number, email address and zip code.
The service is to cost $15 per month and will give you access to HBO, DVR, Streampix, On Demand and Live TV. This means we will be able to watch great shows like Girl sand the next season of GoT.
