Spotify for iPhone / iPod Touch: Removed from App Store

We have recently heard that Spotify for iPhone has been pulled from Apple’s App Store, apparently this is because version 0.4 was causing some devices to crash.

The decision to pull the App was made by Spotify, however they have recently submitted a new version of the app (version 0.41) which is said to rectify the problem causing the crash.

The crash itself was caused by the new version’s iPod integration feature, there was also a DNS-related issue which caused the application to hang, version 0.41 rectifies this problem as well.

We cannot put a date on when the new version will be available, however if and when it is approved by Apple we will keep you posted.
