Steve Jobs dies at 56, Apple mourns loss

We have just heard some massive, yet upsetting news. Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, has died at the age of 56, this comes just over a day after Tim Cook revealed the iPhone 4S to the world and just over two months after he stepped down as Apple CEO.

If you head over to Apple.com you will see that the homepage has been take over by an image showing Steve Jobs with 1955 – 2011 written along side it, click on this and you see a heartfelt message from Apple (you can see it below).

At the time of this post details were scarce, however his death probably has something to do with cancer, he first announced that he had a tumor in his pancreas back in 2004 and since then has struggled with his health despite a liver transplant, on behalf of all of the writers at Product-Reviews we would like to offer our deepest condolences to his friends and family and thank Steve for all he done for the world of technology.

Apple has setup the following email address: rememberingsteve@apple.com and say that if you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences feel free to send them to that email address.

Here is an extract of what Steve Jobs had to say when he stepped down as Apple CEO:

“I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.

“I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.”
