Recently the Nintendo 3DS was released recently in the US and UK and the titles keep rolling out. Today we bring you news of the latest release in underwater combat, Steel Diver, which has been given a UK release date of May 6.
The game involves a horizontal scrolling view of a submarine travelling in the sea and the aim of the game is to avoid dangerous deep-sea obstacles and navigate through the level. The game is displayed on the top 3D screen while the complete set of controls fill the second screen which we thought was pretty cool.
There is also a second game mode which involves a periscope view and requires the player to sink various incoming ships. Alongsinde this there is a third game mode which includes a pen-and-paper style battleships game which is a nice little add-on to the game.
It will be interesting to see how well this title does as the game is pretty unique, we doubt that it will be one of the 3DS’ biggest hits, but we’re sure that a lot of people will be intrigued enough to give it a go.
Will you be buying this game May 6?
