For those of you who use a Mac, then you will be pleased to know that the release of Steam for Mac is now available for download today. Valve have promised this full version for some time now, so it is great to finally see the software come out of beta.
We do warn that there will not be much choice in the way of games at first, so you will just have to watch Windows users in envy for the time being. However, SoftSailer does inform us that Football Manager 2010, Portal and Torchlight is already available to download.
There does not seem to be many differences between the Mac and Windows version — this means that downloading, installing then playing the game will be very easy. Other games are available too, these include: Team Fortress 2, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and many more.
According to Digital Spy, ‘Steam Play’ will allow PC games to be played on your Mac upon release, this is certainly a great feature — we just hope that more titles become available soon. We recently learned that a version for Linux will follow soon.
