State of Decay release time wait with Q&A

Are you excited about the imminent release of State of Decay? The highly anticipated Xbox Live Arcade game is due out at any moment, and we’re sure all of you are frantically refreshing the Marketplace in the hope that the State of Decay release time download is live. As we wait for that moment to arrive, we have a very useful Q&A from Undead Labs for you to check out, giving you a perfect heads-up on the game before you play it.

For those of you planning to stay up until midnight Pacific Time, we advise you to get some sleep as Undead Labs have already confirmed that it won’t be available at midnight. Unfortunately, the developer doesn’t have a set time for release to give us, but if Microsoft are planning to stick to schedule – the Live Marketplace will usually update itself around the 10am-11am GMT time in the UK.

It’s not a confirmation though, just something to bear in mind – at least the developers have let everyone know not to stay up until midnight in the hope that it becomes available, as they could have said nothing.

Meanwhile, to keep you busy, we’ve stumbled across an excellent Q&A for the game, which attempts to answer some of the lingering thoughts that some of you have been having on the game as we wait for everything to go live. If you visit the official forums, you’ll see that one of the developers Sanya has provided a rather detailed session on the game for you to read through.

One of the popular queries that we have seen answered, is whether the survivors in State of Decay will be fixed to certain abilities or not. The answer given is below, as Sanya reveals that the survivors will actually be generated randomly as you progress through the game, which is obviously great to hear.

“Many of the other survivors are generated, with their names, appearance, traits, and skills all potentially varying each time you play the game.”

Read through the whole thing and let us know if you have seen the download become available on the Marketplace in your area or not. How long have you been waiting to play State of Decay? Don’t forget to check out some gameplay here.
