Stargate SG1: Unleashed disappointment following trailer

If you are like me and feel that having no Stargate TV show on in some form or another has left a huge void in your life, then you may want to check out the video below of Stargate SG1: Unleashed. The trailer looks as though it will be a huge budget game like that of Halo 4, but you would be wrong, as this is headed for iOS and Android devices.

Knowing that Stargate SG-1: Unleashed will be a gaming app has come as a huge disappointment to fans of the franchise, as they were hoping for something a little more. However, there’s not denying that seeing Jack, Teal’c, Daniel and the sexy Samantha brings a little smile to my face.

Currently there is no plot summary and the lack of on-screen gameplay shots makes it impossible to tell just how good the graphics will be, but if they will be made for the Retina iPad and the Full HD Android tablets then we should expect something very special.

However, there’s still the fact that Stargate SG1: Unleashed has been passed over on consoles because an Xbox 360 or PS3 version would have been awesome. The franchise has such a huge fanbase so one would presume that sales would have been pretty decent.

Okay, so we know that those same fans lost faith in the franchise with the several spin-offs, although I had no issues with them once they found their feet. However, when it comes to the original SG1 and the team mentioned above the fans will take anything that is offered to them, even if it is a gaming app. As long as it fulfills your Stargate needs who cares right?
