You got to love job listings for game developers because more often than not it gives you an insight into future games, such as the latest listing by Electronic Arts. They are looking for a dev to work on an open-world next-gen Star Wars game — sound familiar?
While there might not be any details in regard to the game, we can’t help think that we will finally get to see a Star Wars 1313 game for the PS4 and Xbox One. Okay, we know that 1313 was canceled the moment Disney closed down LucasArts, along with any developments they had running at the time.
However, it seems a coincidence that Electronic Arts was the publisher and developer and is now linked to a next-gen open world title. Saying that, since EA acquired the exclusive rights to develop and publish Star Wars games, it was only a matter of time before work on 1313 started once again.
While a Star Wars 1313 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is just wishful thinking, surely you would agree that the job listings would make you arrive at the same conclusion as well?
The EA job listings are for an Animation Director and Lead Combat Designer.
