Star Wars 1313: Boba Fett in action

Star Wars 1313 was intended to be a third-person action-adventure game that was being developed and published by LucasArts but ended up getting cancelled, much to the disappointment of fans expecting a more mature and grittier version in comparison to previous Star Wars games. Back in April we heard reports that Walt Disney had ceased internal development of all projects at LucasArts and this included Star Wars 1313, although representatives give us the impression this title could eventually be revived through a licensing deal, depending on an outside studio.

With the upcoming movies and spin-off films in the works we may see the revival of Star Wars 1313, but for the time being we understand that it has been cancelled, but this does not mean it might not come to fruition in the near future. We are hoping the start of the film trilogy could spur this on, and talk about spin-off movies may make this more attractive to studios willing to take it on.

With that in mind, we thought fans may find a Star Wars 1313 YouTube video above interesting as this showcases one of the loved characters from the series, Boba Fett. Throughout the 3 and half minute video the two presenters discuss the cancelled game and take a look at some demo impressions.

As a fan of everything Star Wars I can sympathize with other fans who are disappointed with this cancelation, and just seeing Boba Fett in action is bound to open up old wounds, as this character would be an amazing player to experience within the game.

While Boba Fett fans will be hoping to see a spin-off movie come out showcasing this characters adventures, we cannot help but think how well Star Wars 1313 would do in the lead up to the films, therefore, we are still keeping our fingers crossed that Star Wars 1313 will happen some day in the near future.

Were you upset to hear about the cancellation of Star Wars 1313? Maybe you are now looking towards Star Wars: Battlefront expected in 2015, the same year the first film of the new trilogy arrives.
