ST-Ericsson PM2300: Increases charge speeds of tablets and smartphone by 100%

If like me you own a variety of mobile devices which all run out of battery life at some point you probably have to leave them charging for a substantial amount of time before being able to take them away with you again.

Well we have some exciting news for you as ST-Ericsson has developed a new charger capable of halving charging times.

The new charger PM2300 is designed specifically for the use with tablets and smartphones and will increase the speed at which your device is charged by 100%. This is because the rate at which the charger provides juice to your device is 3 Amps.

It is incredibly efficient when it comes to energy with 92% maximum power throughput rating and 60% improved PCB utilization makes the mobile accessory something to be desired. Although the ST-Ericsson PM2300 doesn’t yet have a date of release, tablets that will support the double-speed charging capability are due out this fall, and so the wait can’t be too long.

More details about the charger can be found at ST-Ericsson’s website by clicking the link. What do you think of these new improved chargers? Will you be using them? Let us know in the comments below.
