Its been around 7 months since the SsangYong Tivoli petrol was first launched in the UK, and shortly after a diesel variant followed. However, not to feel left out, the South Korean based carmaker has decided to now bring a new option to the UK market, and that is the SsangYong Tivoli 4×4.
Ever since the Tivoli was released in the UK people were not taking SsangYong seriously, but we suspect by now being the first in this segment to offer an AWD system, those people will now stand up and take notice.
There are three options available, and these are the EX diesel 4×4 – manual, ELX diesel 4×4 – manual and finally, the ELX diesel AWD – automatic. Prices for these are from £17,100, £18,500 and £19,500 respectively.
SsangYong Tivoli 4WD optical extras – Three options have been highlighted in the press release from SsangYong, and these are Metallic paint for £500, the Styling pack at a price of £400, and finally the Red leather pack, which will cost you £350.
We know that four-wheel drive vehicles tend to consume more fuel, although the Tivoli diesel 4×4 can still achieve a combined figure of 60.1mpg, although the automatic option is worse with 47.9mpg.
For best fuel efficiency just stick with 2WD, but when the road surface becomes slippery, only then does the system transfer some of that power to the rear wheels.
