Sprint’s 4G (WiMAX) Network: Handsets on the way

With all the talk of Verizon’s upcoming 4G network we have not given much time to rival companies 4G networks, apparently Sprint are looking to launch 4G handsets over the coming year.

Their 4G WiMAX network speeds should be 10 times greater than current 3G networks, currently no 4G complaint handsets have launched on Sprint however they plan to launch a 4G handset in the first half of 2010.

Details regarding this handset are currently unknown, however sources believe that the handset will be made by HTC and will run Google’s Android operating system.

Will you buy a 4G handset from Sprint instead of waiting for an iPhone 4G?

VZ won't have a 4G phone until 2012. This being the case Sprint most certainly will be the only choice for a 4G phone. If the HTC Supersonic is anything near what it is rumoured to be I would be happy to swith from ATT to Sprint.


i will love a sprint iphone but if they get an 4g android phone i've be extreamly happy too, i think they have better network than at&t and just as good as verizon but much,much better prices.
