Sprint’s 4G Phone In 2010: Not iPhone, HTC “Supersonic”

Most of the 4G related news we have posted lately has been regarding an iPhone 4G, however we have recently heard details regarding Sprint’s first 4G smartphone.

It is thought that this first 4G (WiMax) smartphone will run Google’s Android OS, from what we can see this handset will be manufactured by HTC and aptly named the HTC Supersonic.

Definite specifications regarding the Supersonic are not yet known, however it seems that the handset will defiantly feature a 1GHz Snapdragon processor whilst utizlizing HTC’s Sense UI along with a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display.

It is still unclear as to when this handset will be launched on Sprint, however when it does launch it’s WiMax should offer speeds of between 3 and 6 Mbit/sec.
