Spotify Update: Video demo shows Facebook features

Fans of Spotify will be pleased to know that the makers have rolled out a pretty significant update to the streaming music service – adding social integration features for users of Facebook.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, Spotify now has some all-new features which will let you send playlists to friends and send them tracks to a new ‘inbox’ that is available. Once you connect to Facebook through Spotify, you’ll also be able to see what your friends are listening to, as well as view their most played tracks.

The update will also allow you to play local files from your PC, in case there is a track which is not already on Spotify, while a service called Gracenote will attempt to retrieve track info for the chosen file.

The update is available to download for European users only. Head to this link for the download. Alternatively, the update will be rolled out automatically over the next few days. Watch the video demo of the new features and let us know what you think of them.
