Spotify Android app update today

We finally have some pleasing news for those of you who love using Spotify on Android. It has been a long time in waiting but we are happy to confirm that a Spotify app update for Android is coming.

Even better, is that the Spotify Android update for April 29, 2014 has just been green lit by Spotify. As far as we’re aware yet the update isn’t live yet but could be released at any moment.

Spotify has already sent out word on their blog that the update is coming. We’re guessing that Apple still have to give the update approval, which is why Spotify can already confirm that the update is coming on Tuesday, but it still isn’t live.

As most of you should be aware, iOS users have already had this update for quite some time. Better late than never though, as Android users will soon be able to enjoy a nice new interface with key characteristics involving a darker theme, refreshed typography and rounded iconography.

There’s also big updates to playlists as well, with users being able to organize favourite songs, albums and playlists a lot more easier than on the previous update.

As we have said above, this update will be going live today. However, Spotify has warned that it may take a few weeks to fully roll out to everyone, so don’t panic if you don’t see the update immediately.

Let us know if you have had a notification to update Spotify on Android today, in your area.
