If you ask gamers to name a retro game, chances are a popular choice would be Space Invaders, despite it’s age and simplicity there is still something pretty rewarding about the arcade video game, we are now hearing that we may be able to regain that rewarding feeling on your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
JoyStiq is reporting that Space Invaders Infinity, which has previously been release at the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch, is under development for both consoles, this should mean that it will be downloadable via the the Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN sometime soon.
iPhone and iPod Touch owners who have played Infinity, will know that the game has moved on vastly from the button-bashing arcade classic, one neat feature allows players to generate levels, which are based on locally stored music, perhaps we will see something similar on the consoles. No doubt this adaptation of the classic game will feature a full HD makeover, which should help bring the game up-to-date.
At the moment this is all unconfirmed, therefore as we hear of confirmation of this, along with a release date and pricing we will keep you posted.
