Sony Xperia Z gaining Android tablet companion

Sony looks as though they will be following Samsung’s lead by releasing a tablet with the same name as one of their flagship handsets. That’s right the Sony Xperia Z could be gaining an Android tablet, which would be the perfect companion. We have been hearing these rumors for several days now, but more news has come to light proving that it could very well exist.

The Sony Xperia Z could be just what the Japanese consumer electronics makers needs in order to make its mark on the tablet market, just as they are with the their latest smartphone, well if we are to believe what NTT DoCoMo is reporting, although we are told that this has now been pulled. However, this latest report is more than just a rumor because dates have now been made.

If the report is correct (and we have no reason to believe why not) then we could see the Sony Xperia Z Android tablet make an appearance during the Mobile World Congress at the end of next month, although there are plans for the device to be formally announced on January 22.

There have already been a few leaks in the past that looked at what sort of specs we can expect, but so far its mere speculation, let’s just wait and see what happens next Tuesday shall we. However, because the specs on the Sony Xperia Z smartphone packs a punch we have no reason to believe that the tablet would not follow suit.
