Sony will focus on 4K TVs at CES 2014

With CES 2014 just around the corner, it is understood that Sony will focus their presentation on 4K TVs in Las Vegas come January. The consumer electronics show is the best place to get a first look at the future products of all the best technology companies, with Sony flaunting their newest line of televisions.

Described as ultra HD with 4 times the quality of existing high definition, 4K is still in its relatively early stages of release. As with the transition from regular TV to HD then 3D, Sony wants to help consumers make the next step up, claiming to be leading the 4K revolution.

President of Sony Electronics Phil Molyneux has said that Sony will feature both its existing and future 4K TVs at CES 2014. Molyneux further highlighted that Sony is the most involved organisation in the world dealing with 4K right now; saying that they are the only company allowing consumers to shoot 4K content, edit it on their PCs and then use HDMI to play it back on their TVs.

It would seem Sony do have an advantage in the 4K market as they are able to offer more content than rivals. Sony Pictures will be able produce movies and TV shows in 4K, and you can be assured that more of their upcoming devices that compliment one another will hit the market soon. Lets not forget that Sony recently launched the PS4 which will be given ultimate justice if played on a 4K TV.

What are you most looking forward to at CES 2014, do you have an interest in Sony’s 4K TVs?
