According to the latest issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Sony will be releasing the latest firmware for the PlayStation 3 sometime in June, which will come complete with 3D gaming.
Rumors have already started to appear around the internet, revealing that the PlayStation 3 firmware update version 3.40 is already doing the rounds, and could be in developers hands already. No word yet, but this could potentially be the 3D update.
In the Q&A section of the magazine, one question was asked about the 3D-blu-ray functionality, to which they responded “3D is simply too big for this not to happen.”
Do you believe 3D is “too big” for it not to come to the PlayStation 3? What are your thoughts on 3D gaming?
