With the arrival of the LG G Watch and the Moto 360 in a few months time, it is clear that Sony need to make improvements to its Smartwatch 2, and so a new update has been made available, which can be downloaded via Google Play.
One of the new Sony Smartwatch 2 features is improved customization, as users can now change the watch face to show different widgets. You will now be able to display features like the weather, date, calendar, battery level and much more.
The latest update also brings with it improved Sony Smartwatch 2 functionality to Gmail and Facebook, making the device even more social. Other improvements include a selection of new wallpapers, and a notification drawer.
Your watch should notify you of this latest update, but if not just head over to Google Play, although you need to make certain you have the SmartWatch 2 SW2 app installed.
Most of the reviews are positive, with some owners saying the Smartwatch 2 has now become much smarter, and while it is great to see the device get improved customization, it is clear that some owners still feel as though a few minor tweaks are needed.
However, there are some of you out there who are unhappy with this update and feels that it does not go far enough. It is for this very reason why several of you might now jump ship once LG and Motorola release their new smartwatches, although the new Samsung Gear 2 is also a worthy alternative.
