Sony, Samsung, Panasonic 3DTVs: Will you be buying one for $3000 and above?

Following on from our previous reports, informing you about Sony, Samsung and Panasonic’s plans to release 3D- capable television sets this year, we would like to know just exactly how many are you are willing to fork out the high costs needed for a 3D TV.

Firstly, you can read more specifc details on the TV sets from these companies in our previous article here. We are now hearing that Sony and Samsung will be offering customers 3D-equipped TVs starting from around $3000 and above – which is clearly not cheap by any means.

With Sony obviously trying to tempt PS3 gamers into buying a set to take advantage of the PS3 3D technology that is already available in the system, its fair to say that the average gamer will ‘not’ be able to afford to buy one with prices like that.

We understand that these sets will be available in June, just in time for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Question is, will you be buying one at these kinds of prices, or will you wait until prices are reduced?
