Sony PSP2 (Veta): Specs Update – Could Run Uncharted 3?

We have some interesting rumors to share with you now, as it has been reported that the upcoming Sony PSP 2 handheld console will be able to run games such as the recently announced, and graphics powerhouse, Uncharted 3.

We don’t have much to go on here, but according to this brief snippet over at MaxConsole, a few PSP2 details have been published in the Australian edition of GameInformer magazine, in which developers have been talking about the graphical capabilities of the next gen PSP.

According to them, the new machine will be so powerful, that it will be able to run the likes of Uncharted 3. If you watched the first gameplay video for the game, you’ll know that it will already be one of the best looking games of 2011, and to think that the PSP2 may be handle that sort of power – well it seems a bit impossible doesn’t it?

Furthermore, we are also hearing about a potential codename for the PSP2 – ‘Veta’. Again, this isn’t confirmed and we’d like to see proof of this GameInformer issue before we draw any real conclusions on it.

What are your thoughts on these rumors? Do you think the PSP2 could really run graphic-intensive games like Uncharted 3?
