Sony PS4 launch games may include MotorStorm

How excited are you about Sony’s upcoming PlayStation Meeting event on February 20, where they are expected to unveil the PS4 to the world for the very first time? It almost seems a bit surreal that we could be seeing a new console announced in the early stage of a new year, but it has now got to the point where it will actually be a major disappointment if we don’t see a new console unveiled by Kaz Hirai.

Earlier on we spoke about the possibility of Killzone 4 making an appearance at the same event, with Guerilla rumored to have been working on the game for a long time now ahead of a suspected PS4 launch title at the end of the year. Now we hear some strong hints on another Sony exclusive franchise that may be in contention to launch with the console as well – MotorStorm.

The racing franchise has become a bit hit for Sony and it is almost logical to assume that there will be a new MotorStorm game for the PS4 at some point once it has been released to the public. However, it has been discovered that the MotorStorm director at Evolution Studios Paul Rustchynsky has been caught tweeting a message with read ’10 days’.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that this 10 days referred to the date of the PlayStation Meeting, meaning that it is now very likely that one of the games on show at the event will be a brand new MotorStorm game. A next-gen MotorStorm game sounds lovely to us and just like the PS3 launch back in 2006, it looks like everyone may have MotorStorm to choose from as one of the PS4 launch titles when buying the system.

Are you a big MotorStorm fan, or are you more of a Gran Turismo person? GT6 is probably in development as we speak as well – it’s all going down at the moment. Just days to go – we can’t wait! Tell us what your ideal PS4 launch game list would be.
