Sony PS4 event live stream to show world the future

For those of you that have been living under a rock the past week, something very big indeed may be happening on February 20. Sony is rumored to be unveiling their next-generation PS4 console on this date and we’re here to tell you that you’ll be able to watch the moment it does or does not happen, live. A live stream for PlayStation Meeting 2013 has now been confirmed so the world will be able to tune in to see the big occasion.

Even if we don’t see a new console, the event should be pretty good in itself, given the fact that Sony are now sending out invites and reminders to their New York event as an indication that it’s not to be missed. Just so everything is clear, the event will be taking place in two weeks time at 6PM Eastern Time.

That is 3PM for those on Pacific Time and 11PM for our readers in the UK. As it stands, Sony are not saying anything at all on what is possibly going to be on show at the event, but then again why would they if we are really going to see the elusive PS4. With a live stream now confirmed though, we just hope that their servers hold up as it would be a disaster of epic proportions if the website crashes as they are announcing the new console.

Earlier this week we talked about the possibility of the PS4 controller featuring a new share button that would allow users to record up to 15 minutes of gameplay at any moment they wished. Will Sony be giving details of this at their event in two weeks or will they make us wait until later on in the year?

One thing that is also up for discussion at the moment, is how much time Sony will devote to their next-gen console, if it is to be in attendance. Will it be a full blow out on the console with gameplay evidence, or will it just be a video teaser right at the end of the event, with a full reveal to come at E3?

Either way, we’re counting down the days and it’s going to be exciting to see what they have to show. Are you ready to see the future from Sony?
