Sony PS3: PSN downtime expected later today

Heres a heads up for all PS3 owners now, as we can confirm that the Playstation Network will be down for maintenance later on today, but only for an hour and a half – if things go to plan.

As reported from Eurogamer, the PSN will be unavailable from 4pm, up until 5.30pm. During this time, you won’t be able to sign in (obviously), so the PS store will be down and all other PS account features.

Eurogamer also state that you wont be able to log in on official PS forums or blogs, so looks as if some major works will be going on – no idea what exactly they’re fixing though.

So there we have it. If you need to download any demos from the store or anything like that, make sure you do so before the scheduled downtime.
