Sony PS3 Firmware Update v3.50: Release Date and 3D Blu-Ray Support

Straight from their press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, Sony has just announced that PS3 Firmware Update v3.50 is coming, and that it will mainly add support for 3D Blu-Ray movies.

The good news, is that the company have already placed a solid release date on when to expect it. We were surprised to hear that 3.50 wil actually be releasing on Tuesday 21st September, just a few days away!

However, people are still having problems with 3.42 as comments keep flowing in on our problem thread here. Hopefully v.3.50 will fix up those problems and will also add some other worthwhile features than just 3D Blu-Ray support.

Stay tuned to PR as we’ll update this when we know what else will be coming in the update. Give us your thoughts on this.
