Sony MDR XB920/R price in India is about Rs 12,990, and so for that price we have to wonder if these Xtra Bass headphones are worth that price, or would you be better off going with a rival set? Sony say these headphones will help you fall in love with your music once again because of the bass that will get your adrenaline pumping.
On first appearances they do look stylish and so could become an ultimate fashion accessory, but we know it is more than looks, as they need to deliver as well, and so a video below tries to discover just that.
In the Sony MDR XB920/R review of these Xtra Bass headphones we get to see some of the main specs and then how they sound in a real-life test. Some of those specs include 50mm dynamic drivers that have been exclusively designed for these headphones, a frequency response of 3-28,000 Hz, 24 Ohms impedance, 106 dB sensitivity and also a gold plated stereo mini jack.
The large design isn’t too clumsy and because they are noise cancelling allows you to become more engrossed in your music, this also stops music from leaking out so others will not be able to hear what you are listening to.
One issue that was found in the video is how they look to be made from metal, but are plastic instead and as such can be easily scratched, which will not go down well for those of you who have paid Rs 12,990 because you don’t expect something to scratch so easily, although my iPhone 5 has several scratches on it, and this cost a whole lot more.
Watch the video for a greater insight, but it is clear while the Sony MDR XB920/R does have a good sound, the build quality leaves a lot to be desired.
