Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro coming to UK: Pre-ordering begins

We haven’t really heard anything about the much-anticipated Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro handset – which runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system – since it was first unveiled alongside the Xperia Play and the Xperia Neo during the Mobile World Congress event back in February.

That’s all about to change however; as we’ve just discovered that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro smartphone is in fact coming to the UK sometime this month. According to a recent engadget.com article by Donald Melanson, the company has now made the handset available to pre-order.

What about the price I hear you ask? Well, if you are interested in purchasing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro smartphone, it will set you back £349.99 (around $575) SIM-free. As noted over on the se-store.co.uk website, the phone provides up to 7 hours talk time and up to 430 hours standby time.

For those of you that may need reminding, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and comes with a 3.7-inch display with an 854 x 480 resolution and a sliding QWERTY keyboard. As Florin at unwiredview.com notes, it also features HSDPA, Wi-Fi, 720p video recording and an 8MP autofocus camera.

Will you be pre-ordering the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro handset?
