Sony Ericsson W150i Teacake: First Look at Android Handset Specs

Sony are apparently poised to reveal their first-ever Android-based Walkman smartphone, this is the Sony Ericsson W150i Teacake, which should be an improvement when compared to the Symbian UIQ-based Walkman handsets of the past.

Full details are still a mystery, however we are reliably informed that it will feature a 2.6-inch QVGA display, a 5 megapixel camera and removable covers.

As we have previously stated this particular handset is Android-based, Unwiredview believe that it will run Android 1.5, however they hope that it will run Android 2.1. Personally I cannot understand why a handset manufacturer would release a new handset with such an outdated OS.

As for release and price information, details are scarce, we have heard absolutely nothing about price, however we are told that it may be introduced later this month.

If you check out IntoMobile you can see the first-ever photo of this device, there is not much else we can say about the W150i at the moment, therefore we will have to keep you posted.

Do you like the look of this handset?
