Sony Ericsson Unveils New Xperia Mini / Mini Pro Smartphones

Sony Ericsson is definitely keeping themselves really busy this year, what with all the new Xperia smartphones coming onto the market. We’ve already brought you previous articles on the Xperia Play and Neo handsets, and now the company has just unveiled 2 new smartphones.

According to a recent article by Vlad Savov over at, Sony Ericsson has just announced the Xperia Mini and Mini Pro handsets. The new Xperia Mini runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and features a 3-inch multi-touch, scratch-resistant display that comes with Sony’s Bravia Engine.

The Xperia Mini also boasts a 1GHz processor, 720p HD video recording and Facebook inside. Sony Ericsson also claims that the Xperia Mini has a 30 percent improvement in battery life. The handset will go on sale sometime in August, and will be available in four different colors.

As for the Xperia Mini Pro handset, that also comes with a 3-inch display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1200mAh battery, but has added features such as a front facing camera and an optimized slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Xperia Mini Pro will arrive at some point later this year.
