Lots of photos of the Sony Ericsson SK17 aka the Xperia X10 Mini Pro recently showed up on UnwiredView, there are six photos in total, all of which are pretty high-resolution compared to a lot of the leaked photos we are used to seeing.
The photos clearly show that the SK17 runs Android 2.3 which appears to feature the 4 corner UI which we have seen used by previous Xperia Mini smartphones. Also there is a HD camera on the back, sources claim that this is a 5 megapixel sensor capable of recording video at 720p.
UnwiredView’s article goes on to suggest that the display has a 3-inch diagonal and features a resolution of 320 x 480, the last Xperia Mini Pro featured a 2.55-inch display and a resolution of 240 x 320, therefore its successor’s display should be much clearer.
Not only is the new X10 Mini Pro superior in terms of display but it should also perform much faster, the new model apparently features a 1GHz processor which almost doubles its predecessor’s 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU, let’s just hope this doesn’t have too much of an affect on battery life.
Until we hear official specs from Sony Ericsson we must not take all of this too seriously, however none of the specs mentioned are beyond belief. We will have to keep you posted as we hear more, remember you can see lots of photos via the link provided above.
