Sony AS20 Action Cam US price and availability

Consumers in the EU have been able to get their hands on the Sony AS20 Action Cam since last month, but up until now it was unavailable to people in the US. However, that will soon change, as its US release happens this month. This latest model helps to complement the growing Sony POV (point of view) range of cameras.

The AS20 is the ideal camera for those who love to do watersports, such as surfing, although feels just at home in skate parks. Where most other cameras will fail, the new AS20 comes into its own thanks to some of its amazing technology to help get a perfect shot during extreme circumstances.

Sony brings some of its latest technology to the AS20 Action Cam, such as SteadyShot to help stabilize each shot, as it helps to reduce vibration and camera shake. What is the point of having steady shots without clear images, and so the high-quality ZEISS Tessar lens allows for clear images with a 170-degree field of view.

Cameras such as these are used more for recording video footage, and so Sony has included the back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, which allows for Full-HD videos, as well as photos even if light conditions are low. Recording is at 28Mbps, so you should be able to capture those fast-actions shots in the sea or on dry land.

The Sony AS20 Action Cam price for the US market will be around $200, and many of the accessories from the rest of the range will be able to support this latest model. For more details please visit Sony’s Press page.
