Sony a77 II videos lessen review deficiency

I have owned a Sony Alpha camera for a few years now and while I know there are better DSLRs on the market, the a55 is perfect for my needs. However, with the announcement of the Sony a77 II, it makes me wonder if an upgrade is needed?

The Sony a77 Mark II is a huge step from the a55, but when compared to its successor, there are only minor upgrades, although they are still worthwhile upgrades. You get the very same 24.3-megapixel, Exmor APS-C sensor, although this has now been mated to the Bionz X image chip that currently resides in the Alpha A7 and A7R.

Whenever a new camera is released we find a multitude of early reviews based on test models, but we tend to have to wait around for any decent video reviews. And so, it comes as no surprise that there are no Sony a77 II review videos as yet, although there are a couple of videos that help to lesson this review deficiency.

Sony a77 II videos

With the first video, we get to see a very limited review of the Sony a77 II, such as how it performs in the real world. The new DSLR has been put through its paces in a series of tests, although we don’t actually get to see the full review just yet. What we do get is a look at the camera in a few situations, and to see how some of its new features are able to deal with the real world.

In second video we get a more hands on approach and offers us an early insight into the a77 Mk II, and while the guy in the video is only offering us his first impressions of the camera based on a short amount of time he had with it, we do know that a more extensive Sony a77 II review is on its way.

The Sony A7 II release date will be sometime in June and its price will be $1,200 for the body or $1,800 for the body and 16-50mm f/2.8 lens.
