Sony α7R II review of specs and lenses

After weeks and months of speculation, Sony has finally announced its new flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, the α7R II, which is to go on sale from August. This updated model comes with a decent list of specifications, and the standout feature for us has to be the back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor, which is the first of its kind, especially as it is a 42.4-megapixel sensor.

Sony α7R II review of specs — While there are many websites out there that highlight a few of the key features of this new camera, the best way to review all of the specs is to head to the dedicated α7R II page on the Sony website.

Sony α7R II price

This list is certainly extensive and far too much to try and cover, although we have included a few videos below to better highlight some of these key features.

If the Sony α7R II price of $3,200 does not bother you, then you might want to take a look at these sample images, as they are a true test of the cameras abilities.

As for the α7R II supported lenses, there is an abundance of them, and so you might want to do your homework before buying the camera first, just to make sure you can get the lens you want, along with its total price for both.
