We have a treat for Sonic fans now, as a skillful YouTube artist has brought the classic Sonic the Hedgehog 2 title back to life, by successfully recreating the game with full 3D visuals.
While this has nothing to do with the Nintendo 3DS, it does make you drool on what a potential 3D remake would look like on Nintendo’s upcoming 3D handheld.
The feat was performed by YouTube user Eyspire, and he did it just by using screenshots of the game. The results are pretty impressive, and you can see what 3D layouts of every single zone featured in Sonic 2 look like. It is a shame that there is no actual gameplay of the new 3D mode, but that is obviously down to SEGA.
