If you were one of the many PS3 owners that were left feeling a little disappointed last year when it was announced that the SOCOM 4 game would not be released in 2010 after all, then I think we may just have a bit of good news to bring you right now.
According to Patrick Garratt over at vg247.com (sourced from the Wall Street Journal), Sony’s third-person shooter game — developed by Zipper Interactive — will be arriving sometime in April, although at this stage we haven’t got a specific date.
In a recent demonstration of the SOCOM 4 title, which comes with PlayStation Move support, Travis Steiner — the game’s lead designer — showed how the character can quickly switch to a knife attack when the player thrusts the Move motion controller forward.
As Mark Langshaw from digitalspy.co.uk recently reported, the PlayStation 3 exclusive will also feature online support for up to 32 players. What do you think about the upcoming squad-based shooter? Is it a game you can see yourself buying?
