We have some interesting news now for those of you that own a PlayStation 3 and a copy of Zipper Interactive’s popular SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs game, as we’ve just discovered that the developer has recently released a new patch (version 1.03), which is now available to download.
What’s more is that they have also revealed a list of changes over on the socom.com website. As Jeremy Dunham — Zipper Interactive’s senior community manager — notes, the new patch includes a few pre-loaded files that prepare the SOCOM 4 game for the upcoming release of the SOCOM Pro Assault Pack.
The v1.03 patch has fixed a number of issues including the problem where the game clock would remain frozen at 0:00 when players respawned or started another round, as well as the spawn delay issue that prevented gamers from spawning consistently at the beginning of a round.
Players will also find that the new patch has increased the backwards-movement speeds and character movement strafe, added an option to activate a center dot in the targeting reticule, added an option to turn in-game XP displays on/off and smoothed out and sped up the ‘settling into crouch’ character movement.
You can read more about the changes via the socom.com link. Have you downloaded the SOCOM 4 1.03 patch yet?
