Social Chatter: Olympic ticket prices and events for London 2012

There has been a huge amount of social chatter today regarding the Olympic ticket prices, and what events fans will be watching at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The reason why is because people today will finally learn what they have paid for, and will notice that payments have now started to come out of their banks.

The whole process of buying a ticket for the massive sporting event has come under a lot of fire, even though it had been explained to us in detail before hand. It comes as no surprise that people have taken to Twitter and Facebook to vent their anger. We have even been informed that some people have set up Facebook pages to share their disappointment.

The first round of tickets sold faster than organizers had imagined, and those who missed out in the first round will soon get another go at getting a ticket. Although they are not certain what event they will be watching. Who on earth wants to go and watch a certain sport, when all you want to see is if Usain Bolt can find his form once again?

If you would still like to sign up for tickets, then you can do so by visiting the official website for the 2012 London Olympics. We have to laugh how the official Facebook page for this event does not show all the negative things that have been going on in the build up to the greatest sporting event on earth — yes even better than the boring World Cup.

Having said that, most Facebook users are wise to this and only having 386 Likes is proof that they are not that interested. However, twitter is a whole different thing altogether. The micro-blogging site is getting tweets all the time about the shameless goings on.

However, doing a simple search on twitter shows that it is not all doom and gloom. Some of the results are very informative, such as tweets to a strategy guide when it comes to buying tickets, also other places where you can purchased authorized tickets, and also one person talking about how happy they are to have got a ticket.

We are not too certain how many people will want to listen to someone brag about how they managed to get a ticket to the 2012 London Olympics, when you are still trying? Still that is the whole point of social media; it’s all about the rough with the smooth.
