There has been a lot of controversy over iPhone 4S battery life, which seems to be fine now following the latest software update, although many Apple fans want and need a better battery for the iPhone 5. If the new Apple phone releases this year with a battery pretty much the same it could stop a lot of people buying the 6th generation iPhone, but with that said it’s obvious this would be a small number compared to the following Apple has.
We’ve owned every generation of iPhone and I’m amongst those that expect a vast improvement when it comes to battery life, and you can see many iPhone alternatives that offer a lot more juice. The issue is millions of iPhone owners, us included, do not want anything other than an iPhone, so we hope that Apple target’s the battery life as a major feature upgrade for the so-called iPhone 5.
Snapdragon shows how battery life should be in the latest viral video with a few tricks — we’ve embedded a video below titled “Around the World on One Charge“, which is thanks to the processor maker Snapdragon. Many of our readers might already know about the efficiency of Snapdragon processors, but you could be amazed at the idea of a mobile phone traveling over 20 days and 36,000 miles on one charge.
First we’d like to point out this did include taking video footage during that time, but the viral video also points to the fact that this device had been turned off each time they put the phone in a box. This is not normal practice over 20 days of using a phone, so it’s understandable some people feel it’s a little misleading. Watch the video and let us know if you think this still demonstrates the power efficiency of Snapdragon processors, and also sets out how all phones should be, including the next iPhone.
Would you like a major improvement to battery life on the next iPhone, and how important is battery life to you when buying a new phone?
