Skyrim will let you perform an Assassin stealth kill

Earlier on we gave you an insight into graphics potential for the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, but now we have yet more screenshots to show you. You may have already seen a few of these images before, but some of them are brand new and direct from Bethesda.

One screenshot in particular is what we’re going to highlight here, as it brilliantly captures an assassin in the act in what can only be described as a stealth kill, Ryu Hayabusa style. We’re going to take one bold guess and say this screenshot is part of a mission from the infamous Dark Brotherhood guild, which Oblivion players will be delighted to hear that it is returning once again in Skyrim.

For those of you that are unaware, the Dark Brotherhood was one of Oblivion’s many factions, as the player would need to complete certain tasks in order to gain some cash or items. However, some of the Dark Brotherhood missions were easily some of the hardest in the game, so the rewards would be much greater, as well as the cash – anyone remember the Blade of Woe? What a weapon. Shadowmere the horse was probably the best reward to achieve though.

Back to the shot though, and we kind of feel sorry for the poor unsuspecting Orc who has obviously upset the Brotherhood in some way or another. We’re loving the red robe though, perhaps that is one of the costumes you’ll get as you complete Brotherhood missions in Skyrim, we’ll have to wait and see.

Aside from the assassin screenshot, there are also some other screenshots that you may not have seen yet, one of which shows a town which looks very alike to Anvil – one of the places you may remember from Oblivion. Another screenshot that you may be interested in shows a Draugr Lord – one of the new and scary-looking enemies in the game. They look pretty hardcore, and perhaps they are even more dangerous than the Lich enemies featured in Oblivion – I hated those.

You can check out the full collection of images over at Ripten. Let us know what you think of that assassin shot above. Will you be joining the Dark Brotherhood guild at the first opportunity, or will you be a good citizen of Skyrim and avoid that part of the game?
