We have some good news for those of you who are still having problems with each version of Skyrim depending on if you’re playing on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. You may have already read this but if you missed it – be assured that Bethesda is rapidly working on a new patch update for all versions of the game.
Just recently we asked you for your list of problems aside from the ones already noted on all platforms, and considering the widespread reporting of the PS3 game save bug in particular, Bethesda has now confirmed that the patch update will hopefully fix things up for good.
As with all patches, there is no set release date as it will go live when it’s ready, but Bethesda’s Nick Breckon has kindly given a timeframe for when frustrated games can expect the update to drop. Here is a recent message that he posted on the official Skyrim boards:
”Wanted to let everyone know that the next PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 updates have been submitted for certification, and that the PC patch is coming too. The current estimate is that they will be live the week after Thanksgiving.”
For those of you playing Skyrim outside of the US, that means that the patch could be going live after Thanksgiving Thursday on November 24. It would be a good time for Bethesda to release it on the Friday, so gamers can hopefully head back into a problem-free game after indulging in this year’s festivities and of course maybe picking up a bargain or two as well with all the sales going on this year – this 42-inch Sharp TV for example, perfect for gaming.
It’s worth pointing out that while a lot of you are clearly having problems with the game, many gamers are reporting that their Skyrim remains fine, with a lot of you engrossed into the Skyrim universe now, with 100+ hour save files too we’re guessing. If you are having problems with the game, we’re sure you can wait just a week longer – we have a good feeling that the patch update will be available on Friday, let’s wait and see.
