If you are a fan of the awesome music that features in The Elder Scrolls game series, then we have some interesting news for you. Jeremy Soule, the composer of the Skyrim soundtrack has launched a new setup on Kickstarter, asking the gaming community to back his idea on recording a classical symphony.
If you have played the likes of Oblivion and Skyrim, you’ll know just how good the music really is – often the sole reason why many gamers just choose to roam around the lands to listen to the peaceful tunes that fit perfectly in the respective environments – I know I did with Oblivion.
Now Jeremy Soule is giving you the chance to have a say in his next piece of work, by contributing to a Kickstarter fund in return for a copy of the classical symphony called Symphony No. 1, “The Northerner” once it is finished. The event still has 27 days to go, but we can tell you that unsurprisingly, the goal has been reached already.
With an initial target of $10,000, the current total now stands at over $40,000, with over 1500 backers clearly putting their faith into Jeremy’s new masterpiece in the making. By pledging $15, you’ll receive an autographed copy of The Northerner, but the incentives increase for those willing to offer a bit more.
If you really want to get intimate with the project, donating $1000 will grant you Page One of the official manuscript, written by Jeremy Soule himself and enclosed on ‘museum quality’ paper that is ready to be framed. We absolutely love the music in the Elder Scrolls games though, so we hope it does well.
