Sims 4 PC system requirements disclosed

The Sims 4 PC minimum system requirements make it very clear that most computers will be able to run this simulation game thanks to some easy to reach hardware specs. The details were disclosed within the official help section and straight away you’ll notice Windows XP at least is required.

If you haven’t seen any Sims 4 PC gameplay, then take a look at the video below this article or read on to see exactly what hardware you’ll need to run the latest game in this franchise.

Make sure you have at least 9GB of hard drive space left and of course if you want to use the custom content, you’ll need to make that’s 10GB of space to install the game files. For memory, you will want at least 2GB of RAM and it’s worth noting that DirectX 9.0c will be compatible with the latest SIM.

Video Card and Processor – you’re going to need support for Pixel Shader 3.0 and at least 128MB of Video RAM. graphics cards being named within the FAQ include Intel GMA X4500+, ATI Radeon X1300+, and the NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better.

When it comes to the processor make sure you have an AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000 or greater, or an Intel Core 2 Duo clocked at 1.8GHz plus. If your computer has a graphics chip built-in, then you will need a bit more than what’s listed here and to be honest the better your hardware, the smoother the game will run anyway.

Will your PC handle the Sims 4 minimum system requirements? We don’t have Mac requirements yet and this is due to the fact that there’s no Sims 4 release date for Mac. The PC version will launch on September 2nd, 2014.
