The Showbox app is still alive on Android devices after Cartoon HD closed down forever this week, and the love for this latter application has been shared on Twitter all weekend at a time people love to watch movies.
You can see Google’s play store still features the Showbox app for Android devices right here, although this hasn’t stopped people wondering where the Showbox app is for iPad and iPhone. We touched on the desire for an iOS version at the start of last month, and the need has become even more great since Cartoon HD went down.
Some people are even hunting the APK file directly for both Showbox and Cartoon HD, although we’d suggest mobile users only download files direct from either Google play or iTunes unless you’ve had strong recommendations from friends already using certain apps. Even if you track down an APK to update Cartoon HD, you should know it will do no good thanks to the app not working.
Time before Showbox app taken down – during writing this article we noticed the Showbox Media apps page on Google play returning “the requested URL was not found” message, and this might be a Google server issue or the start of the Showbox app being removed for Android users.
We should note that the Showbox app operates a little different to other versions by unlocking free products. You can get further information on how this application works in the video on Google play via the above link.
