There seems to be stronger evidence that Apple will launch a new iPhone in the summer, but one question still remains — should it be 4G enabled in 2010? That is certainly a good question; one that we hope you will be able to answers. But let us take a look at a few facts first.
Firstly, most rumors suggest that the new smartphone from Apple will be called the iPhone 4G, let us not get this mixed up with the LTE technology that it will use to gain access to mobile data — it just means that it is the 4th-generation iPhone.
There are those who agree that A&T is not ready for 4G yet, and they would be right. The current iPhone exclusive carrier is in the process of upgrading its current 3G network, and is a long time off rolling out its LTE network.
The same can be said for Verizon, we know that The Big Red still has to get the iPhone — but let us remember that their LTE technology is a lot further ahead than AT&T.
But should Apple make this stop them? After all the HTC EVO 4G and the recently announced DROID Incredible are both 4G ready, but their networks are still a long way from ready.
