Sharp has announced the launch of the Quattron Pro UQ10 TV range for the UK market, and with it availability and pricing details. It is not all about the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony in the 4K TV market, as Sharp has stated its intent already seeing as though these TVs have been available in other countries. However, it is the first time the UK market has seen the UQ10 range.
Models in the new Sharp Quattron Pro range — There are three models in all that form this range, and those are the LC60UQ10KN, LC70UQ10KN and LC80UQ10KN, which are 60, 70 and 80-inch respectively. These televisions offer the user a next generation in viewing experience because it is the only Full HD TV on the market able to display Ultra HD (4K) native content through HDMI, which Sharp says makes it future proof.
However, we would just like to remind you that before you get too ahead of yourself, it is worth noting that 4K content has yet to catch up, and seems to be moving at a slower pace that 3D content during its early period.
We can’t say for certain how long it will be before UK broadcasters start to offer 4K Ultra HD content, but we do know that Netflix could be the first to offer this service.
Going back to this new range of TVs from Sharp, they will be able to display images 2.5 times faster than standard Full HD televisions, again, this is no good without the content.
It’s not all about image quality though, as its Smart features are also a huge positive, as you have access to apps like YouTube, Netflix and other such apps. You can also control your UQ10 range with the use of a smartphone or tablet app.
More details on these new TVs can be found here, but we can tell you that pricing for the Quattron Pro UQ10 TV range is £2,100 for the LC60UQ10KN, £3,200 for the LC70UQ10KN and £6,300 for the LC80UQ10KN, all of which are said to be available now.
