Sega Genesis Classic Console 2017 price drop at Walmart

For those that are shopping for the Sega Genesis Classic Console during Black Friday, you’ll be pleased to know that we’ve spotted an early Black Friday sale which brings the price of this classic system to under $50.

This is the updated 2017 Sega Genesis Classic Console from ATGames which comes with 81 games built-in but sadly no HDMI output as it still uses AV composite cables. You can also use original cartridges with it as well as original controllers, but we have seen reports that there are some sound issues when playing certain games that don’t do the originals justice so be prepared for that.

There are some plenty of great games available such as the Sonic titles, Mortal Kombat games and Golden Axe, but some strange omissions too such as Street Fighter 2, the entire Streets of Rage series and the best Mortal Kombat game, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

You can see the full list of Sega Genesis Classic Console games through the link to see for yourself what you get. Walmart is currently offering this for $44.88, which is a nice discount for anyone who was waiting for it to drop under $50.

It may well drop further as we build-up to Black Friday, but for anyone that needs a quick nostalgia fix it is a decent option.

Are you interested in buying it? We hope to have our own review of the Sega Genesis Classic Console 2017 model for you soon so you can look forward to that.

Don’t buy it if it has the cordless controllers (unless you have some old controllers at home). They don’t pick up on even half of your button mashing. If you know these old games and how well the wired controllers worked, you’ll immediately know how terrible the cordless ones are…
